Singapore, check! Next stop, Kathmandu!

Day two:Sinapore. After a safe take off, sleeping many, many hours, watching movies, we have arrived in Singapore. It took us 15 hours including a short stop in the Hong Kong airport. The Singapore airport is beautiful, very quiet, but it was  also 7am. We breezed through the customs line and kept our fingers crossed as we headed to pick up our luggage. Taking in everything around us, we noticed  a huge welcome sculpture on the wall... Well we couldn't help but smile and take our picture by the art.   Great news the luggage arrived and we were relieved!

Stepping out of that airport felt like we walked into a moist oven. Wow! Thank goodness we were able  to hop into an air conditioned cab. We felt a sense of wonderment and excitement as we drove through Singapore to our hotel.

At the hotel, we allowed  ourselves a quick reprieve, put on our walking clothes and headed on our site seeing adventure. As we walked through Singapore, it finally set in that we were here. Check out this awesome bridge we walked through!

Some of the major sites we saw included the Marina Bay Sands three tower hotel. We went all the way to the top! Of course we ensured we had a drink while taking in the gorgeous views of the city, while munching on delicious wasabi chips (seriously SO good!).
This was the view from the top!

Afterwards, we trekked over to the shopping district in the ridiculous humidity. Our trekking turned into a scavenger hunt of trying to find air conditioned places to cut through while we looked for the shopping district. When we finally arrived, we tried checking out some of the VERY crowded malls, at which point we realized it was time to go back to the hotel. Our feet were killing us, and we were starting to fall asleep standing up!

At the hotel, we promised ourselves we'd take a very short nap...the last conversation we had was:

Melanie: So Giulietta, what's our story? We going to dinner?
Giulietta: widhfjdslhfjkshgkjhbsdkg

Needless to say, Giulietta had already passed out and there was no coming back...

We slept until 5:00am beating our wake up call. It is now 6:46, we are showered, our bellies are full of yummy Asian food that we had for breakfast at an Italian restaurant with Italian music in the backround. We are off to grab a taxi for our flight to Kathmandu!
